The K1 followed the original in late 1970 and refined it rather than reinventing it: smaller side covers without the K0 leading-edge slots, a twin-cable throttle and revised details, while keeping the 67 hp four and 4-into-4 exhaust. It was offered in Candy Ruby Red, Candy Gold, Valley Green Metallic and Candy Garnet Brown.
